FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions we'd want answered too.

Everything you need to know before you start generating — or if something isn't working the way you expected.

What actually is afterSora?

afterSora is one workflow for the best AI video and image models. Sora, Veo, and our image stack live in the same dashboard, with Kling and Seedance staged next. Pick the model, keep the project, keep moving.

Are you part of OpenAI?

No. afterSora is independent. We connect to model providers through our own platform layer so your creative workflow is not tied to one provider's app.

Which models are live?

Sora 2, Sora 2 Pro, Veo 3.1 Lite, Veo 3.1, GPT Image 2, GPT Image 1, GPT Image 1.5 Legacy, Flux 2, Flux 2 Pro, and Nano Banana Pro are available in the platform. Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 are marked for 21 May.

How do I get started quickly?

Create an account, add credits, open the dashboard, and choose Video or Image. From there, select a model, choose the matching resolution or quality, then generate.

Do I need credits to generate?

Yes. Credits are used per generation, and the amount depends on model, resolution, duration, image quality, variations, and optional afterSora Optimize. Pricing is shown in the dashboard before you submit.

Why do different models cost different credits?

Provider costs are not equal. A lightweight Veo or GPT Image 2 low-quality generation costs less than a Pro video or high-quality image. Our credit system follows that shape so cheap routes stay cheap and premium routes are priced honestly.

What if my generation fails — do I lose credits?

No. Credits are reserved when you kick off a job, but if anything goes wrong, they come straight back to your account. You never pay for something that didn't deliver.

I have a billing or checkout issue — what do I do?

Use the Contact popup in the top navigation, or email us at [email protected] with your account email and order date. We'll get it sorted.

What generation tools are available?

You get Create, Storyboard, Cast, and Worlds for generation, plus Remix, Re-cut, Extend, Loop, and Blend. Some providers support every operation natively; where they do not, afterSora uses references, keyframes, prompts, and local processing to get as close as the model allows.

Can I save work in progress?

Yes. Studio drafts save and can be reloaded or deleted whenever you like. Pick up exactly where you left off — no lost work, no starting over.

How do character continuity and Worlds work?

Characters and Worlds let you lock in visual identity: who a character is, how a place feels, what should stay consistent. Sora Pro can use character references directly; other models use the strongest reference and prompt path available.

How do image quality options work?

In Image mode, the resolution control becomes quality/output size. GPT Image 2 has Low, Medium, and High. Nano Banana Pro has 1K/2K and 4K. The credit cost updates before you generate.

Can bonus credits be used on anything?

No. Bonus credits are reserved promo credits. If a promo says Sora 720p, those credits only apply to eligible Sora 720p generations and we use them automatically before paid credits.

How long does generation take?

It depends on model, duration, resolution, request complexity, and provider load. You can track every job in your library in real time.

Can agencies and teams use this for client work?

Absolutely — that's a core use case. The platform is built for repeatability and consistency at production pace. Predictable outputs, clear project structure, and iteration tools that don't slow your team down.

Can I use generated outputs commercially?

In most cases, yes — but it depends on the model your generation ran through and the laws in your jurisdiction. Before publishing commercially, review your usage policy, likeness risk, and brand safety. We'd rather you're protected than surprised.

What if model access changes again in the future?

We built afterSora specifically so that doesn't happen to you again. The architecture is provider-flexible — if one model source changes, your workflow keeps running. We exist precisely so your production doesn't depend on any single platform's decisions.

Do I need a paid account to submit feature requests?

You need to be logged in with credits on your account — which keeps the request board useful rather than noisy. Each user can submit one request every 30 days, and you can upvote anything already on the board. Our team responds directly.
